Vell Coster wine is born from our oldest vines, planted on strong uneven slopes of llicorella (typical slate of the area from 500m high), a distinctive feature of the AOC Priorat.
This wine represents the strength and elegance of our lands, the result of ancient vines with its roots deeply anchored into a poor soil, but full of character.

This wine is the pure expression of respect for the land, tradition and time. Each bottle of Vell Coster is a tribute to the meticulous work of our ancestors and the uniqueness of our land.
Dark cherry color with pomegranate edges, complex and deep aromas of ripe black fruit, blackberries and plums, with touches of licorice, a typical minerality, with subtle spicy notes from the aging in French oak barrels.
It is powerful, concentrated and at the same time silky.
It has mature tannins and a balanced acidity that gives it freshness and longevity. The persistence is long, with memories of the earth and an unforgettable mineral ending.

The name Vell Coster pays tribute to these vines of more than 70 years, planted on slopes difficult to work but that offer low yields and grapes of exceptional quality.
The combination of Garnacha and Cariñena in that unique environment results in a deeply authentic wine, faithful to the spirit of the Priorat.
